Im thinking about swapping in a small block chevy into my 1951 one ton. But im being told I will have to space the steering box out to clear the exhaust. Is it possible to install a v8 without moving the steering box?
Ken, Do you have a picture of a V8 in an original AD frame with this exhaust setup? Or know where to get one? I suspect it might help John even more. I have often read and thought about this swap and I am also curious to see one that is done.

Don't know much about AD. I thought the first pic was an AD chassis. I do believe the 265/SBC will work nicely. John can tell better than I. This may help. It's block huggers, but I like the 265 deal better. As slim as it gets. Nice one here, clean, good studs, make offer, free ship.
