Hello Bolters, hope everyone is ready for weekend

. New springs, and disc brake project is about completed so I am now gathering information on power steering. Engine is stock 270. Manual identifies generator PN 1102020 is orignal unit with Power Steering pump mounted behind it. I have obtained the generator and a couple pumps. In talking with a couple of parts suppliers in Calif they all say that the pump produces enough operationg pressure (approx. 1000#) but there is some question as to the pump producing enough volume. The manual states pumps will provide the following "1.5 gpm @ 525 rpm & 3 gpm @ 2300 rpm". Is this enough pressure and volume for a late 60's/ early 70's GM P/S box? Thought I would check it out with you folks before spending the bucks to have everything rebuilt. Also, anyone have oppion about installing fluid cooler on return line? Have a good one, Roy
