I have been told that the brake assembly from a '73 to '87 will "bolt on" my 66 Chevy with no modifications needed. Does anyone know if this is correct? I plan to bring it up to power brakes and steering and I want to feel sure before buying a doner truck for parts. (spindles and ball joints are my main concern.) Thanks

If at first you don't succeed, you are about average.

i used a crossmember,a-arms,spindles,brakes,and steering linkage from an 80 c10 on my 64.10 of the crossmember bolts lined up,four needed to be slotted.you have to use the same year steering as spindles.the 80 steering will bolt on if you drill two new holes for the idler arm.
