Would like to know if any body has try to put 50 model door glass in 51 to 53 doors. Any help would be appreciated. Have A Nice Day!

I kind of did on my 50. What I mean is that I used one piece glass in 1952 doors but not with the metal outer frame around the glass. I also went with power windows. You just have to add the front vertical track guide to the doors so the glass is guided in the channel when the door is lowered. I just took an extra set of rear track guide and welded to L-shaped brackets to space it out from the door jam "by the hinges" and spot welded it into place.

I have a 1951 door out back right now that I was thinking of taking my Plasma cutter to and remove the outer door skin. I'm going to make up some vertical tracks for later projects so I might also play around with it and take some of my 1948-1950 door glass with metal frame and see if they will work with the newer glass mechanisms. This might be a month or more down the road.

Goose,
I was reading Truck Builder magazine, the new 02 April. They have an article in there where they do the same to a **** (junk). One problem they say you may have is where the hinge bolts into the door. The glass may not clear it. The hinge flange has to be shortened. Hope this helps you.
