Can experts please educate me on what heaters I have here? What years are they, how do they mount, which way is up, is there a 12v replacement motor, are they rebuildable? They came as spare parts with a '49 panel truck body and are almost identical.
There are holes in the dash which the hose nipples go through, as well as smaller holes for the threaded studs. The forked defroster part goes up and slightly to the left. Check the cores to make sure they don't leak. Good ones are hard to find, and new ones are expensive.

Recirculating (only) round type heater 1947-55 1st series (round heater core) defrost to floor air control was done manually using a lever located on the heater box.

Thank you gentlemen, that really clears it up for me. I was familiar with the fresh air style heater that attaches to the right kick panel but I'd never seen this recirculating type before.
