Morning all!

I have a question about the above carb. Have a friend with an issue that is causing some issues. On his rebuild he got a 32/36 5200 from Tom L and its been draining the entire bowl after you shut off the truck. About 30 seconds after turning off the key raw fuel just pours out of the secondary and goes till the bowl has about 1/16" of fuel in the bottom. The floats appear to be set correctly and the fuel level is not pouring over as you can see the top of the bowl from the top of the carb because its open to atmosphere. We removed the carb yesterday and placed it over a container with 2 rods supporting it from the bottom. We removed the top half and poured fuel into the bowl. If we fill the bowl slowly nothing happens till we hit approx 3/4" full and the fuel just starts to pour out of the secondary. Its leaving thru 2 small holes located just below the secondary plate. The unit will continue to steadily dip till the bowl is almost 100% empty. It looks like it stops just at the lower edge of the main jets in the bowl.

It seems like we hit a level in the bowl that cause it to start to drain and it continues to drain due to a siphon effect.

It sounds like the carb has a porous casting or some other internal problem. There could also be an incorrect gasket installed somewhere or a missing check ball that's allowing the gas to siphon out of the bowl. If this is a new carb, and the symptom has been there from the beginning of using it, you probably need to contact the seller about a warranty replacement.

it holds fuel perfect without dripping until we hit a certain level in the bowl so im not sure casting is an issue. Once we get a high level it starts to drain as it should because the fluid level rises in the main well and then pours out into the venturi.What i cant seem to understand is why it keeps going till the bowl is empty? Should it not stop leaking down the venturi once the fuel level goes below the level of the port in the main well? Why does it seem to transition to the 2 lower holes in the secondary at the bottom after it starts this purge is what i cant figure out.
