So, I finally nailed down a steering box I am going to use. It is looking pretty good. I think my drag link angles are OK. I mocked it all up, then put the axle at full compression. The drag link looks decent at full compression as well.
Now I need to figure out where and how I'm going to fit a pan hard bar.
Does anyone have a DOM bender they want to sell that can bend up to 2" OD X .25" Wall???
Pitman and drag link angles look a lot better than the Ford box, interested on how you make the connection to the steering column with multiple borgeson joints?
BTW, I haven't enjoyed a build thread like this in quite sometime, definitely keep the pictures and progress going. Some of us live vicariously through the courage of others willing to challenge themselves. Steve

Yes, I talked to the guys at Ididit and he said to go with a double U-joint and bearing support. Should be getting that going pretty soon. I just received the Borgeson joints in the mail today, from Summit. I'm going to make my own DD shaft. Hopefully soon!
I have been struggling with trying to figure out trac bar and drag link angles and geometry, while also making sure they have plenty of clearance (at full compression/full extension and the full swing of the turning radius).
So I decided to make a really ugly 2D sketch on SolidWorks and now I have figured out my lengths and geometry.
For anyone out there also trying to figure out the best way to fabricate a drag link (DL) and trac bar (TB), the most important thing to do is to make the TB and DL as parallel as possible. Next, the most important thing is to make them as flat as possible (so lateral movement in the compression state = lateral movement in the extension state). Another important thing is to make them as close in length as possible...
