So I think I have found a cooling fan for our 55.2 3600 truck.

It has a 350 engine with factory 4 speed trans.

A fellow bolter said he has a fan for me that is 17 1/2” wide.

My fan shroud is exactly 18” inside opening.

My question is how far into the shroud is the fan on your factory truck with a V8?

Does it sit inside the fan shroud or just at the edge?

Any help is appreciated.

The fan blade needs to be halfway inside the shroud. The center hub that the blades mount onto should be aligned with the back edge of the shroud opening.
