So I have the cylinders rebuilt and remounted as well as the relined brake shoes. After I cleaned the springs I noticed they where on the deformed side. They are still strong SOB's but they are bent to the point that I would like to replace them if able. Now onto the fun part, anyone know where the devil I can find new ones, all of my internet searches and phone calls have come up with goose eggs. On another note when I removed the drum on the driver side I had to drill out the stud the brake shoes rested on to get the drum off. I have also been unable to find a replacement for them as well, are they replaceable or do I need to channel my inner jury rigging self? (Thinking about getting a 8 grade bolt and mounting it in that spot if I cant find a replacement stud).

Hy Tanker916, could you please tell us the year of the truck, whether you are working on the front or rear brakes and if the rear, what is the width of the shoes???
He’s been smelling too much gun powder down there in the mountains.

The truck is a 6400 dulley. Attached are some pictures of the studs on the side I didn't have to drill out. I don't have part numbers that one reason why im posting here.

Hy Tanker916, I'm not trying to be difficult here, but we need more information! What year is the truck and what is the width of the brake shoes??? I noticed in the pictures that a hole in one of the brake shoes where the brake spring passes through looks like the spring is ready to pull through the hole, I also noticed that some has installed brake lining on a shoe that was not clean, trying to seat rivets on filth is a recipe for loose rivets after the brakes have been used a few times! We are trying to help you find what you require, but you have to help us by giving us the answers to our questions. The bolt you had to drill out, is it one like in the picture with the nut and cotter pin in it?
Sorry if I came off as being lazy or aggressive I appreciate the responses and help offers.
The year is 1953 nearest I can tell is the pads themselves are just shy of 4 inches in width attached are a few pics of them. The pads the metal is just a touch over.
The bolt with the cotter key in it is the bolt im looking to replace I have also attached a picture of the bolt I had to drill out. The last picture is of one of the springs I am also trying to replace.
These shoes are on the rear axle. I also attached a picture of the brake shoes I havn't mounted they look clean to me but im not a expert.

Hy Tanker916, if your brake springs are all the same length I would say the set (8) would be Napa part number UP18197 $19.49, as to the bolt, I haven't found anything yet in my research, you may have to fabricate one or see if you can locate one at a wrecking yard, hope that helps.
Not certain if im mistyping or misunderstanding that number but when I search that number I get the wheel cylinder result. Yea my back up plan is to get a grade 8 bolt and do some cutting.

Hy Tanker916, my mistake, I read the wrong line on my research notes. Napa part number for spring set is UP80164 the price is correct, sorry about that.
