If I swith to flux cored wire will it put out enough power to weld in a new Must II crossmember? or do I need to use 220 volt set up? | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,745 Member | Member Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,745 | I would tack it in and then have a professional do the actual welding. There are lifes at stake.

I think i will tack the crossmember, motor mounts and ladder bar crossmember then haul it somewhere to be welded right. | | | | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 33 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 33 | Stea, Being a welder myself,my opinion is that who ever you bring it to will want to do the prep and set up themselves.I would either have them tell you how they want it set up or be very specific in telling your welder what you intend on doing.you want to both be on the same page so the work gets done to your needs.make sure you bring it to someone who knows about frame welding.whatever you end up doing, good luck hope it turns out well Greg | | |
