There wasn't a C model Rochester. It was a B (in your case maybe a BC) with the letter C cast into it. Please rebuild it as a B or BC model and you'll be ok. About 2 months or so ago I posted a lot of information about the Rochesters and some problems age and the original design is causing today. Those posts might be interesting for you to read.

Primitive but, effective might describe the B series for me. An area that gave me fits was the crossbar on top which has two small holes in it as air bleeds.
