I have two wires coming out of the back of my radio. One red and one green. I am assuming the red one is power and is connected to the light switch. What is green one and where does it go? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I don't know if this is an original type radio but the original radio had a thinner wire for the dial light and a thicker one with a fuse holder for the main power to the radio.

marine1964,
it would be better for you to start a new thread of your own when you have a different question. However I will give an answer here. There are small power supplies that you can buy that will provide 12 volts Dc from 6 V Dc. However, if your GMC has a positive ground setup, finding a power supply to do the job might be difficult. In that case I would suggest converting the truck to a negative ground system.

Goooogle "6 volt positive ground to 12 volt negative ground" and you'll find a bunch of devices designed to solve this problem.
