A while back in another thread I was in a discussion about the difficulty in obtaining a professional appraisal of the value range of the 60 - 66 K20s, one of which i own.
Well, it seems I have found at least one answer and I am relieved to say that my instinct about turning down an offer for $12,000 for it appears to have been justified. I have no intention of ever selling it and will be passing it down to my favorite family member when my time comes, but it's nice to know others apparently appreciate the truck model as much as I do.
I had been searching for this truck for over 30 years before finally finding one 8 miles from my home in a barn where it had been sitting for the past 15 years. I have every intention of keeping it as original as I possibly can and so far it has been very cooperative to say the least.
Update; while i was in the post surgery fiasco hospice phase of my recovery, a cash offer of $19,000 was relayed to me. I turned it down and am happy to still be here to enjoy it.

The value continues to climb.....and the more I do to it, the more it's worth, mainly because of its unmolested survivor originality.
I recently turned down a cash in hand offer of $24,000. Progress has slowed considerably due to my ongoing heath issues, but positive progress continues.
Value is in the eye of the beholder. Its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I have a ton of junk, i think is worth something, and cant always find the person willing to pay anything for it.
It's nice to think of what our trucks are worth. Offers don't mean anything. They always come back with my wife says no, gotta sell my truck first. The ONLY way to know is to sell it. The NADA, Hemmings, Hagarty values are absolutely worthless. For various reasons. You can not possibly know what price category your truck is even in, on those sites. Just enjoy the truck and don't dwell on subjective values.
