So I ended up down the rabbit hole when I began my restoration of my 48 1/2 ton. Originally I was going to get it running and drive it as original. Well now the darn thing is in so many pieces it hard to keep track of all of them. I have the frame stripped down naked in my driveway and I’m going to begin installing an IFS from CPP and mocking up the motor 350 sbc and the trans TH350. My question is, how can I install the motor mounts and ensure it will not hit the cab without the cab on? Does anyone have measurements they used when doing a similar swap? I am using an electric fan with a new 3 core radiator and I don’t want to hit that or hit the cab with the bell housing or distributor. Can you help? I also am going with rack and pinion steering so the big steering box clearance issues shouldn’t be an issue.
