Hello , Finally getting around to installing my airflow heater that I restored about 4 years ago. .Well the truck is finally back from the shop and now installing the heater.

However, when I get to the vents, I remember people always mentioning the clips and to hold on to them. So I made sure I kept them and I still remember where I put them smile... I installed the screw on one side, and the other side where the clip is, I haven't a clip where the clip is suppose to clip on to?

I see another screw hole, but nothing under the dash where this clip would attach to.

So what are these vent clips for?

James ** If you are talking about the defroster vents one side of the clip goes on top of the dash the other on the bottom no screw at all. The screw will go on the other end of the vent & will hold it in place. That's how they are on my 52 3100 & 53 Suburban.

Strange... that is what I thought it would do.. However there is 2 screwholes and no place really on the dash for that clip to slid onto.. Soooooo, I just went ahead an put screws in and called the job done.... Boy I really dont fit under the dash.. I am not sure who did, but it is really uncomfortable doing any work in that small space and I aint that large of a person smile....
