Whats a good way to loosen it up ? the left side works fine. Kind of weird being its just one hinge for both sides. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 176 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 176 | I love PB blaster. what I do with very rusted stuff is I spray it down with the PB several times in the coarse of few hours. Just hit it with PB every time you walk by while doing something else. Then I spray it down one last time with PB, then take wheel bearing grease and brush it on lightly ( big glob works good) over the PB on the joint trying to leave as much PB as posible under the grease, and let sit over nite ( or a few days if really bad) This leaves a barier so the PB will not evaporate and lets it go to work. otherwise it will be dryed up the next morinig. I have had good results with this method, and gotten things loose that I thought were through aways. Good luck.

Soaked them good with penetrating oil, used an awl to tap out the pin far enuf that I could get it into a vise, then just worked and pulled at it till it popped. | | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 | Ooops...just reread your initial post. Are you talking about the top center hinge, or the top to side panel hinges ? The top center hinge has one side that nests into the other side - no hinge pins involved. In this case, as the other guys said - lots of rust breaker and patience.
