Is this one of the final US made 235’s?? | | | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,966 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,966 | Someone posted on here a few years ago that he worked at a GM plant where they manufactured engines. He said they made 235 “service” (replacement) engines until 1970.

It has been recently posted that a 235 was available on some 1963 trucks (probably a 4x4)?
Yes, they made/cast replacement blocks/heads after the 235/261 stopped being standard/optional equipment/production. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,748 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,748 | At one time, car manufacturers were required to maintain replacement parts supplies for 10 years after the final production of a vehicle. That's probably been changed, since I've had difficulties ordering some replacement parts for vehicles a lot newer than 10 years old at times. "Not in stock- - - -no superceded part number".
