i just recived my cab patch panels for my 39 1/2 ton
from jim carters. they are made to replace the rib line that gets rotted away. have any of you guys bought and used these pieces, and if so how did they work out. the ribline on the cab kind of swoops up as it goes around from the doorframe to the back of the cab. the new corner pieces dont look like they have that swoop in them, they look straight. thanks

Are you sure the patch panels you have are not for the LOWER cab corners ?

rusty46,

im sure i have got the right patch panels. the corner panels have the ribs in them also. the rib is straight along the entire length of the corner pieces. it looks like if i welded in the corner pieces with the rib matching at the original height to match the door, i will lose the swoop of the rib as it rises around to the back of the cab. i guess i will call carters and see if that is what was intended with these pieces. i was hoping someone had used them, to see what they had ended up with, thanks,
