Is the carburetor accelerator lever different for a 1954 3100 truck that came with a Hydra-Matic trans?
The carburetor accelerator lever that the trans linkage attaches to.

Driveline Forum
Transmission Linkage (part of the Driveline?)

"Is the carburetor accelerator lever different for a 1954 3100 truck that came with a Hydra-Matic trans?

Yes, there is a linkage between the "carburetor accelerator lever" and the transmission on a Hydra-Matic equipped 1954 truck.

There is no linkage between the carburetor and the transmission on manual transmission truck.

I cannot find an illustration of the H-M linkage rods, springs, levers, etc as an assembly and/or "in-place"/installed.
It is complicated, with rare/unique parts.

Yes, the link from the bell-crank to the carb is not the same on a H-M truck as a manual transmission link. The H-M version is adjustable in length.

I screwed up, I thought I was in the engine forum.
Justhorsenround you are correct. I'm in the wrong forum.

What I am talking about is the Rochester Carburetor Throttle Lever.
The lever that is connected to the throttle rod that goes through the Body Assembly of the Carburetor base.
The lever that the horizontal linkage rod is connected to. Grp # 3.430 Rod Check illustration Below.

Auto Choke Carb illustration Check Lever N.S.S. at bottom of picture

Maunal Choke Carb illustration Check Lever N.S.S. at bottom of picture

Looks like there is a Carb Body Assembly Grp # 3.729 just for 55-56 Passenger and 54-57 H.T. carbs. Check Grp # 3.729 part # 7007984
I wonder what is different, the throttle Lever ?
Do you have to use that Carb Body Assembly in order to use ether a auto choke carb or manual choke carb on engines equipped with a HM trans.?

Tim,
I'm not explaining myself correctly, which is causing you to work harder than you should.

So to save face I uploaded a photo of the lever in question.
The Lever is outlined in yellow. Check attached
The photo is of the manual carb Throttle Body Assembly, it is hard to see the lever in the auto choke carb illustration.

Looks like there is one Throttle Body Assembly just for 55-56 Passenger car and 54-57 H.T.
Check Grp # 3.729 part # 7007984
I wonder what the difference is in the Body Assembly for the above, Maybe the throttle Lever ?

I can't find a picture, but I have seen that lever with two factory holes provided.
I used the extra hole for kick-down linkage on a TH350 conversion I did in the past.
I wonder if that is the difference.
