A little help please. There are two tee brackets that attach to the frame just below the front bumper brackets on my 1950 3100. What are these for? If you look in the FAM section 14 sheet 1 you can see a portion of the bracket i am talking about.
I'm seeing the top part of the spring shackle on that page (14/1.00) just behind the apron, if that's what you're talking about. It bolts thru the frame with a reinforcement inside the frame C channel. See the upper left figure on FAM Section 2 sheet 5.00.

Looks very aftermarket to me. Maybe even a home-built mod. No idea what it would be for. With a single attachment bolt at the frame, it wouldn't be very sturdy.
