I’ve got a 1960 C10 that I’m slowly restoring. The hood is missing the rubber bumpers that go under the front of the hood. There’s no sign of any old ones so I don’t have a pattern to go by. I ordered what is supposed to be the correct part from LMC. It’s a couple of pads with pop rivets but no instructions. Does anyone know how they install or have photos of yours?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Front or rear bumpers? 2 each. Fronts attached underside hood sill in rounds of front corners with single sheet metal screw. Rear bumpers come with a bracket (w/2 rivets). The brackets are bolted on just aft of the hood hinges.

Thanks again. Installed mine per your photo. Adjusted the hood and now it’s tight and right.

Dave, I literally just put on new ones last week. I changed the front corner hood bumpers to new rubber, (old ones were hard). And I installed the center hood bumpers (small round ones) none of the trucks I've had, had these. The rear hood bumpers pads are still in good condition. I got the full six piece set front Classic Parts for $5.95. LMC send you the INCORRECT ones. Don't use the rivets, you can use either bolts of screws on the front corners and you push the center hood bumpers through the hole (you will most probally need a pair pf pliars to pull the nipple through)

Modelman,
Thanks for the advice and the photo. Now I know what to do with the little center buttons.

Also wanting to replace my front hood bumpers but not sure how the new rubber fits into the metal plates that are on the truck now. Any ideas are appreciated.

This clears up my issue. Modelman has a 1960 GMC. I have a 1960 GMC. This is what I bought from classic https://www.classicparts.com/1960-61-Hood-Bumper-Set/productinfo/38-015/. Which say 60-61. Could not figure out what these were for. My truck has the holes shown on Modelman's pic for 62-66. The one's I got have the rubber that is used on 55-59 round, adjustable foot peg. Now I know what to buy. Thanks Modelman. Classic had me confused.
