The rust in these areas is a result of bad design, due to the support being spot welded to the fender flange and touching the fender skin. When replacing these fender supports, I cut out the old brace and make a duplicate, however I break the 90 in the reverse directtion, to create a gap between the brace and the fender skin. This will allow any moisture or road grim the ability to escape or dry quickly, thus avoiding prolonged exposure to moisture.
These braces over the fender well are not remanufactured, however they are easy to fabricate with basic shop skills and metal working tools. In lieu of spot welding them, drill two 1/8" holes in each end of the new fender brace and puddle weld them to the fender lip on the bottom and the bed side on the top of the brace.
When repairing fender skin, there are no patch panels currently being manufactured. You will have to shop fab these pieces. I have cut pieces out of a donor bed side, to the left or right of the fender brace. This metal is usually in good shape, since it did not have contract with the fender brace, thus no rust. The profile along the entire contour of the rear fender well is the same, therefore you can make a number of patch panels out of one donor fender.
