I will be leaning heavily on your expertise as this is all new to me. Previously the oldest vehicle I had was a 62 Chevrolet 1/2 ton with a small block and multiple 60's era muscle cars. This truck is a whole new breed of cat!

Welcome Tod, A number of us have an old 60s muscle car or two. Mine is a '67 Beaumont. As to your truck, you came to the right place. Be sure to check out all the forums and post your questions where they fit the best. Good luck!

Welcome to Stovebolt. Knowledge is the Best Resource and you will find plenty of it here. Don't forget the Big Bolt Forum. See you around the garage.

Welcome. I'm sure you will do just fine. Major difference is Big Trucks have big nuts! I mean literally. First tools I had to get was 3/4" drive socket set. Where in VA are you? Are you aware of Homecoming?

VEW, I am from Holly Grove at least I am now. I do travel all over VA in my work from Lynchburg-Harrisonburg-Charlottesville-Richmond-Tappahannock-NOVA sometimes all in 1 day. Also toss in an occasional Roanoke Rapids NC and a visit to Roanoke VA every 6 months or so to see my orthopedic surgeon.

Nope have not seen the homecoming deal yet

Welcome to the Stovebolt gang.
A lot of great helpful folks here and fun.
The Homecoming is a great weekend and I'll be driving from Mid Missouri for my fourth time this year.
It starts a week from this Friday.
You can find info here on the ODSS threads.

Don't tell anyone, but you don't have to drive a GM truck to attend, they will welcome you with open arms and a weekend of getting dirty and learning.

Don
