I expect I will be able to be there and I am willing to bring a charcoal grill, a big smoker if needed, propane burner, whatever. I hope to have my '52 6400 ready to go by then, but we will see.
Got the shipment of uncooked pork rinds today. If you have ever had them, right out of the fryer, you'll never buy another bag again at the store. Ask Andy or Tim. So bring your favorite hot sauce or salsa. Homemade salsa will be even better. Salsa also goes good with the durito wheels.

I could bring a Turkey, pork shoulder, and some venison for that Smoker Chris. Let me know Chris and Don. I'm happy to help out again with food. I have not used an Electric smoker so let me know or I could bring my charcoal smoker again and smoke us out one more time!

So no guarantees on the "Don't be late". But Doughboy seems to be doing well and I can make better time with the OD, so hopefully I will be there before everyone wants to eat.

Chris, I'll bring a turkey and venison for the smoker. That way we will have plenty of food on hand. If you use some type of wood chips to create the smoke, please ring that along. I have only used charcoal smokers but we can get that Electric smoker rolling on Saturday!
I plan on bringing hickory wafers again in several zip lock bags to give away and to smoke with. No I am not smoking anything. Too far and too much to bring. I'll be the fry cook like Jethro Bodine? Myself, I prefer Cherry wood for smoking.
I should also have a roaster oven to keep things warm.

Food update. New food matrix is in the planning stage. AmtracJoe has taken the lead and doing a great job!
Volunteers are needed to help and bring stuff, matrix will be posted next week.
We will eat good but, it will be more of a grab and go weekend. Stay tuned for more info.

OK After a few days away from the computer, now we are back on track for the meal planning. Joe, thanks for making up that matrix on the food and I hope you don't mind that I posted it. The main cooks have been identified and a rough meal plan has been drawn up. Sunday breakfast is still up in the air though. (Grigg?) Most of the meals will be a grab and go and that also frees up the cooks to get their hands dirty during the weekend.
BUT, we still need HELP. It will be mostly KP type duties and bringing the side accessories, to make everything run smooth. We are also in need of a coffee cook that will take care of both mornings coffee. 36 cup coffee maker will be there.
Here is what we need. Paper towels, Paper Dishes, Heavy Aluminum foil, Plastic wrap, Sliced cheese, Dish detergent, Sponges, Soda, Ice, Disposable utensils, Toilet paper, Go-Jo hand cleaner, Rags, Loan of a 4-slice toaster Burger and dog buns, ketchup, Mayo, Mustard. Apples, Bananas, Oranges/clementines, Chips, Pretzels, Salsa (homemade?), Hefty heavy duty trash bags.
This is a team effort and all we need is for for folks to step up and undertake just a small piece of the duties. We'll let John be the MC, parking coordinator and final cleanup boss. You sometimes have to let him feel like he's doing something.

Joe, I guess we do live kind of rural and I do remember the Piggly-Wiggly stores. I'm still planning on being in the area Thursday and a quiet hotel that night. Hit Walmart Friday morning for some more supplies, then let the weekend begin.
We still need some folks to step up and help with the meals/KP. Even if it is just one meal and a cleanup crew. HandyAndy has already enlisted his help. Jim knows how to slice up taters for chips and we may try the fried apples this year. I will have an apple peeler/slicer with me.
