Dear all,
does anyone has an idea where I can buy a new driveshaft for a 1949 chevy 3100 1/2 ton?
During transport to Europe, somebody lifted the truck with a forklift and hit the driveshaft.
So the transport insurance will pay for it in case I need it. I do not know if it is bend a bit now and will figure it out later.
I just need a pricequote now.

Thank you for your help.
Michael

New Torque Tubes cannot be bought. Your best bet is place an ad in the Swap Meet forum and see if you can get a good used one. Getting it shipped to you is another matter all together.🛠

You don’t say where in Europe your located but if you check with folks in the local car/truck clubs you may find one close to you. They’re everywhere!🛠

Hi there, thank you for your answers. I am in Germany and will check if I can get something here. Shipping is not a problem from the US but I am surprised that you can not get that part new. Since most of the other parts are available.
Just need a pricequote for now for the insurance but if it really is not straight I will check the swap forum.
Thanks again!

Do you have a torque tube drive or driveshaft with a U-joint at each end?
