I am looking to replace the front mounts on my 235 (rubber only, the brackets look okay) and all I can find are 8 cylinder kits. Classic Industries does sell a 8 piece bushing set that looks like mine as best as I can tell, but it also says it is for the V8. Can anyone tell me where I can find the proper bushings? Or is it a matter of taking them out and going by a hardware store to find something that matches?

Thanks, Lee

Lee, they are the same for the 6 and the 8. If all your metal parts are good, you can just change out the rubber bushings. There are two types. You will need four of each. They are available from Rockauto for about forty cents apiece. Anchor #2122 and # 2123.

The flat washers and fine thread castle nuts should be available any hardware store if you want to replace them. Clean up the studs and cupped washers, paint them flat black with a rattle can, install new rubber bushings, flat washers and castle nuts and your motor mounts will look brand new for under $10.00 !!!
