In the 1947-54 Chevrolet Truck Factory Assembly Manual
Section 2, Sheet 2.00 thru 2.03
Under "Frame Checking Instruction"

Looking at the frame side view it says 3° degrees, 42' 9", CL (center line) of Crankshaft.
3° degrees means engine pitch.
What does the numbers 42' 9" mean?
All models show the same numbers 42' 9" .
Check attached picture for reference.

3 degrees, 42 minutes, 9 seconds. Very precise angle!

OK Thanks,
You could say the engine is angled down in the rear by 3.7025°degrees, expressed as a decimal number
That is just a little under 3 3/4° degrees.

Angle Measurement: Degrees, Minutes, Seconds
Calculators on lower part of page.

Attacked: Engine &Trans. Pitch
