I need new upper and lower radiator hoses for my truck. I am using the factory radiator but the engine is out of a 1962 Chevrolet truck. I don't know if this is going to change anything. But where would be a good place to get the correct hoses. Rockauto does not list hoses.

this place lists hoses for a 46. you'll have to determine if the 62 engine makes a difference. you can always go with the generic flexible hose if you choose.

I just recently went through a similar situation w/a 79 250 in a 49 GMC. Due to previous hillbilly engr'ing I had to change the thermostat housing to the smaller 235 hose outlet which was smaller than the radiator's opening. I now needed a hose with 2 different sized hose openings. Armed with measurements, 10 minutes at a local FLAPS produced a flex hose that worked perfectly. You may have to go that same route.

If you have the 216 original therm housing just use that and original size hose.

If you've got a good flaps they may let u behind the counter to look, I had that last year, due to the newer engine than truck, and the fire engine auxiliary cooler requiring some specialty fitting.

Good morning 52vff

A local OReilly Auto Parts has a huge inventory or radiator hoses and they let me search through that inventory to find upper and lower hoses that are an exact fit for my street rod.

And just in case you need another source, I got mine from Summit. I have the original radiator, with a 350. ID of all four hose ends are different. I was able to find the two hoses I needed and could cut to fit.

Ok I decided to go with the 216 water pump conversion. Does gates make the factory radiator hoses for a 1946 chevrolet truck?
