Im working on a 1964 K20 fleet side and was thinking of doing a very moderate modification on the rear wheel well openings. I think they sit too low for a 4x4 and want to open it up without making it look like a modification. Has anyone done this or have pics of doing this? Thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2016 Posts: 10 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Oct 2016 Posts: 10 | I've been wanting to do something similar. I want to put some wide 60 series tires and wheels on the rear. What I wanted to do is form metal wire around the wheel well and curl the flat sheet metal back around the wire to open the opening to give room for the beefier tires.

I did this on my truck. Ultimately did put bigger wheels on so will be changing them back to the original size wells. I can send you a picture if interested. I will be selling the wheel wells if too.
