I have a 1933 Chevy 1.5ton the throw out bearing is made of carbon, is it supposed to spin ?...if it does any good ways to free it up...thanks Dennis...

The carbon should not turn in it's holder.

Thanks.. I didn't think so but the little oil cap had me guessing

Because the carbon is a little porous, oil was added to prolong its life.
