54 3100---- Getting ready to get fenders, grille, ect. out of the way for an engine swap. It looks like I can set the whole front end off in one piece as I have done with other vehicles. Right? Any special tricks or hidden bolts to be aware of?

Remove bolts holding floor inner fenders to floorboard. Remove support rods from firewall to fenders. Remove bolts holding fenders to cowl. Remove bolts holding radiator support to crossmember. Drain coolant & remove radiator hoses. Disconnect wiring to headlights. Maybe also remove front wheels.

I tied off to the fender support rod brackets and with the radiator still in place, it balanced surprisingly well front to back. You'll notice from the photo that I was a little low on the driver's side. That's due to me not getting the rope to the hoist hook centered on the 2x4 I placed between the fenders. Using a single rope loop in the form of a triangle probably would have worked better to balance it side to side.

Two men can lift off a front clip. My wife and I moved my front clip in the garage today (minus rad and grille) and she did ok. Three guys and you're golden.

I really like the control that using the hoist gave me when pulling mine. I had a few bits of rusty metal hang up that I had to break loose.
