Can anyone tell me what was the original interior paint color for a 1952 Chevy 3100? Can find the exterior colors, but not the interior. Thanks.

The 1947-1955st Chevrolet interior/exterior colors are listed in this Stovebolt.com Tech Tip. Finding modern paint codes of the colors is the challenge.

Tim is correct to try to steer you towards, Denny Grahams posts. He took a lot of time to find the formula for the interior color, for our AD trucks. I used the color that Tim is referring to, in my 53 3100. It came out great. There is also a slightly lighter color that shows up on glove box, ash tray and speaker grill. We can cover that later, if you would like. For now, here is the color code that Denny came up with. It's PPG 27467 Graphite Brown Metalic. You have to add some flattener to it. Otherwise, it is to shiny. I wish I could tell you how much. I had some mixed up about 10 years and painted my interior with that batch. Then, just about a year ago, I had some more mixed up, by a different paint store. This time, just into a couple of rattle cans. Wanted to be able to touch up places and finish painting some of the interior parts, like the glove box, speaker grill and ash tray. Again, you need to thank Denny Graham for the all the effort and money that went into coming up with the color. I have to say that it is just slightly lighter than the main interior color. In my humble opinion, it is a subtle, but nice contrast. I will email you a picture of the finished product. That will give you an idea of what I am referring to. The color is Grayish Brown Poly, PPG 26002. Again, it will need to have some flattener added to it. On the rattle can I had mixed up it has (FLAT), listed on it the can, right after the color code.

Off to Barrett-Jackson today. Not to buy, just to look a few thousand vintage cars and trucks.
