I'm trying to remove the speedo instrument cluster from my 1956- 3100.I've removed the 3 screws and pulled it forward about half an inch then it stops as if its hitting somthing and wont come forward any more.Do I have to use brute force or is there something else I have to take off.

likely need to remove the rigid oil pressure tube .... then need to weasel things around a bit [gently, wiring is tight] they can catch on the edge of the opening
