I couldn't find one at Classic Parts, American Classic or Obsolete Chev. My roof panel is O.K., but the panel from the windshield pinch weld up to the roof panel on the outside is rusted through, and the inside header panel above the windshield glass is also rusted through. The truck set for years and mice built a nest in between the inner & outer header and rotted the metal.
I guess the little varmets are getting me back for shooting so many of them with my BB gun when I was a kid.

I thought about trying to find a good panel out of a parts cab, but would probably be quicker & less trouble to make one myself like you said, Red58.

That said, surely someone here has redone that panel and could give you/me(for future reference) some tips.

Most of the time these sections are rusted from the inside out, by a mouse nest.

I have heard that Dynacorn (the crate Camaro guys) are going to do a '55-59 cab, so the panels you need will most likely be available soon.

When I pulled the roof skin off and welded in the big window frame and supports, I found the previous owner had fiberglassed this area. I made my own, but what a pain, it is curved in three dimensions. Fiberglass seems the easiest way in hindsight. The previous owner had glassed it from the inside, so I guess the roof was off once before. Hope it helps. :rolleyes:
They named it Apache cause it has a patchy welded here and a patchy welded there.
