For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 30 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 30 | Hi Folks, I have seen a lot of conflicting info about pin stripes, wheel colors and grilles, so please help me out here> I am restoring a 1952 GMC long half with a 5-window cab. It is Brewster green, and the wheels are painted to match. I was planning to use the correct cream color for the grille and the wheel & belt line stripes. Is this anywhere near original? I saw a chart that said I should have apple green wheels and belt stripe, but then what color would I stripe the wheels? (Besides, I don't think I could stomache two different greens on this truck!) Does anyone have a paint code for the grille cream color? Thanks all! If you don't find the information on paint combinations at the main site, consider joining the Discussion Boards. I am certain that there are members with your same color combination (and who know the color codes) that you are looking for. I think you will find that the original body and wheels are different greens (and it looks nice). Tim | | |
