Are the fenders bigger on a 46 truck compared to a 46 pickup?
would a 19.5 rim and tire look good under a 46 truck fender?
Is the cab the same as a pickup cab?

Oh yeah quite a bit larger in fact. Have seen guys use them but not the best solution. 3/4 ton trucks are a better option but don't bolt up to running boards like the half tons do. Cab, hood, grille, etc are the same. don't have an answer re. the 19.5 wheel. Best of luck

yes, like a 1 1/2 ton. Also I've seen pictures of fenders that look like they have been cut back some towards the front as compaired to others.
Is This factory or custom ?
I have found a 46 1 1/2 ton and I'd like to put updated suspension and motor in it That's why I'm concerned about
fender size. I want to go with 8L19.5 tires but want everything to look matched up. Comments please.

19.5's look undernourished on a 1.5 ton truck. 22.5's are the direct replacement for the original 20" tires. No matter what wheels and tires one uses, most original 20" tire fenders are narrow, so modern wheels, no matter what size, stick out.

There are factory full width fenders for GMC trucks, never seen them on Chevies. Hard to find, they are 25" wide at the back of the headlight bucket. I have seen two pair, pix for email address.

The first 1.5 GMC produced right after the war had the front fenders trimmed like this one to conserve steel.

Trucks produced right before the war had more metal in the front of them like the one on the middle. It is a 1941 Mode.
