I have a set of 15x8 but the hub has centering tabs which prevent it from fitting on my 2wd 65 short step.
However I note some 73-87 rally rims do not have the tabs??

I have a 65 short step. I prefer the old school slots myself. Whatever that is........ Lots of them on Ebay. Sometimes called "Blazer Wheels", Argent silver with plastic caps.
The "hub"? Is that the hub on your truck? If you are talking about the hole in the rim having "tabs", it sounds like you have hub centric rims? You want lug centric...as in using normal tapered lug nuts.
73-87 Chevy 10 slot Rally wheels fit on 60-66 Chevy trucks. There are rally wheels and then there are, so called, rally wheels. Bogus...and there are 88 and up.........they don't fit.
