I'm about to wrap-up my fresh air heater project and just need the defroster cable and knob. Apparently, Jim Carter Truck parts and Classic Parts of America have discontinued the reproduction cable and knob due to a problem of keeping the chrome on the knob. The Filling Station has this cable and knob.

Has anyone purchased this cable and knob for a 1947-1952? Any other thoughts about where to find a quality reproduction cable and knob?

Thanks,

Andy

IMHO, stainless steel would be preferred. Is yours for sale or in use on the '52?

The heater isn't in the truck yet. I believe the L-shaped bracket resides just to the left of the steering column under the dash? So I don't know the exact length of the cable.
