Hi guys,

Recently and increasingly my rear wheels lock up everyone I brake resulting in a loud tyre screach even when gently braking (which is hard to do now). The rear brakes seam to be grabbing. It's very hard to brake without locking up the reads

Anyone have any ideas what it maybe ?

I have a front disc conversion. Brakes have been fine for a few years before this

The passengers side rear feels like it's locking more (brakes pull to right and tyre screach more evident on right)

Check for a grease seal leak on the right rear- - - -even a little bit of oil on the brake linings will cause a brake to grab and lock up the wheel.

If you find oil on the shoes, check the diff vent. Very common for these to plug up and put pressure on the seals.

dirt, grime and oil on the linings comes to mind first, then a faulty prop valve

New learning on the seals and grease on linings. Thanks for insight.

Just want to thank you guys and let you know you were 100 percent spot on with your advice!

I cleaned up the oil and brakes worked again. I have a slow leak so will need to change the seal at some point

Cheers
Mike
