The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Driveline Lever Action Shock differences

So I failed safety and one of the reasons (all minor) was the bushings on the lever potion of the shocks. The rear ones have a pin and cotter, but the front has a nut on one side. I've been pounding on it like crazy, does anyone know if it's just a pin with a nut, or if it's something else? I'm assuming a pin, that's just frozen up..... thanks

Update - I've got both front pins spinning freely and the nut side through the buckle, but it won't pull through the rubber and other side. Could this be just a sleeve holding it in?

Alright, I was able to put an allen key against the frame and pound the pin out of the shackle. The only problem now is that the bushing in the front is larger than those in the back! Has anyone replaced these before? I purchased two sets from Jim Carter, the only other one was for a double-action shock, but I'm pretty sure these are still singles, just different from the rears.

Can't answer you but will be having to address the lever action shocks on my 49 3100 one day.

It looks like the fronts are actually dual-action lever shocks. Only Jim Carter appears to have the bushings for them. Too bad, I was looking forward to a show this weekend
