Was the bell housing and manual 3 speed trans also painted gray like the 235 truck engine? Going through all of it and would like to return it back to correct color.

Wow! Lots of info in that pic. V8 Motor Color, 6 Cyl motor Color, No paint trannies and possibly the third is a no paint bell with unknown trans?
Thank you Bill.

Interesting to see that they even painted the Ground Strap engine color!

That third transmission is a cast iron Powerglide.

Thanks Mike, I should have been more clear, unknown "to me".

An interesting fact/observation (to me) in these pictures is the lifting point of the exhaust manifold on the V-8s.

It is so cool to see these pitchers when Bill posts them; I've never noticed the lifting point before, but I thought lifting from the exhaust manifold was a big no-no (?). Edit - or maybe that's only true with the inline sixes?

"Ford Gray" looks fabulous on a 235 bell housing Wrencher. I've also painted one "Chevy Blue". BUT, every factory original unrestored 235 bell housing I've ever seen in real life looked like it was painted with some pre-EPA gear oil.
