I got myself an old grain truck with a worn out engine. I have been rebuilding it, but I realized I would like an accurate measurement of the distance I have gone. My odometer had seized at 9063 miles, and I can't seem to get it going. Is there a trick to it? can I get just the odometer replaced?

assuming speedometer works, that means the cable is ok so, yes, something not right with the odometer. You can pull it apart and see if the shaft popped out of the hole, or order a complete new speedometer (not sure you can get just the odometer part). Someone probably has an old speedo that is frozen up but the odometer pieces are fine still. I have a few but would need new numbers on the odometer. Depends on how much you want to fuss with it! american classic has them, 138 (10% off for stovebolt members

I had it all apart, and the dials won't advance when they should, they hang and jam instead. I considered a new speedo, but I intend on getting a new digital/analog one instead. In the meantime, I would still like to know the miles I pile onto the truck. There are decal kits to revitalize the dials, I wouldn't be against a working used one.

And just as a note -- American Classic Antique Truck Parts has been sold to Classic Parts. The 10 percent Stovebolt discount is longer being offered.
