I decided to go with Langdons so I called them for more information and talked to Tom who informed me they do not have one for us 6 volters. Looks like a no brainer. Just thought people should know if they intend to go this route. The big distributor came out in the mid-1970's, and the small one was made in the early 1980's- - - -long after the switch to 12 volts. The lowest voltage I've seen a HEI operate reliably on (after an alternator failure) was around 9.5-10 volts. Below that they start to miss and sputter.
