Can find decoder for pretty much everything....except the 69 C60!
Looked all over this site as well as google. Any help appreciated.

E = V8 Gas
6 = 19,000 - 45,000 GVW Range
3 = Chassis-Cab
9 = Year (1969)
P = Pontiac Plant
815980 = Unit number starting with 100000

Sure looks like they made a lot of big bolts. If they started numbering at 100,000 and ours is 815,980 that's over 715,000. That seems like a lot of big bolts in one year and who knows what number they ended the year with.

I bet the unit number started at 1,000 at each plant and counted up for all series (that is how it worked in 1965-66 with a similar format Vehicle Serial Number Identification).

My info shows they started with 100,001 from 67 thru 72 (that's as far as my books go) as the first unit number from each plant. So you have the 715,980th unit out of the Pontiac Plant, they only had one #1 serial number in the plant regardless of whether it was a car or truck.
