I am looking to get a little info on the transmission that would be in my truck... 4 speed bolted to a 283 v8. The thing just decided that it did't want to go into 3rd gear anymore as I was driving it home today... Do you guys know if this transmission has syncro's or not?? If feels like it just won't go into gear like the gears are not matching up.... Its not grinding... You can feel the detent but it will not slide on into gear... Craziest thing to date on this old beast. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

It should be a 420, common, easy to work on, perhaps shift fork out of groove, or bent, or shift rail housing in top cover clogged(rare). Pull top cover and look around. Parts from Novak in SLC. Px on Youtube.

Look at post below yours from suburbanlou.
