Hello,

Wondering if any Bolters ever RV at the turkey run? We just got a new Thor A.C.E. and was considering the TR as our first newbie destination. Looks like Racetrack R.V. is right across the street, but reading very mixed reviews. Suggestions appreciated. I do not tow a car, but may pull a 12' trailer.

Seems like I remember seeing RV's in the track (grass area outside the track) parking before, but not sure if they were parked or camping.

I've never RV'd in Daytona. You may want to check out the Florida State Parks. I seem to remember one or two of them just north of Daytona.

Thanks Bruce and Wayne,

I will only have the RV for transportation, so that is why I was considering that park. Walking distance, but there is another a mile up the road. I'll have to look at other options as far as taking alternate transportation along.

Heading to Daytona on Saturday to scrounge around for a few parts for my 1950 3100.

Larry - do you need me to pick you up along my way?

I ended up taking the RV and renting a tow dolly from Uhaul to bring my wifes car.

I am sitting in the RV in the KOA campground about a mile or less from the Speedway right now. I'll be there tomorrow also. Me, the wife and two Pomeranians in a stroller. Of course, now that we bought an RV, I probably can't afford anything for the truck. drive ohwell

I looked for a stroller with two Pomeranians on Saturday but no sighting of the dog stroller!!!

I did pick up the middle bow for the headliner for my 3100. Not a total loss for spending the better part of Saturday in Daytona.

I wish the organizers would group the cars/trucks by manufacturer and model. It seemed there were a few trucks here and few over there but no consistency.

I most likely will be back in the fall!

Bruce, the fall meet is much larger but just as mixed up. Be sure to were your walking shoes.

If you want to check the vendors early go to the Moultrie, GA swap meet which is a week earlier than Daytona. Most go to both shows.

I'll probably be back in the fall too. It's looking like the Moultrie show doesn't allow pets. If they have camping on site and I could leave them in the RV, then maybe, but not looking likely.

P.S.
I bought a used hood latch panel and a radiator to grille lower support for $40.00 !!!

Mainly wanted the hood latch panel, but for $40.00 for the pair I wasn't gonna pass that up. The hood latch panel is rust free and a re-pop would be $150.

I can second that. The swap area is at LEAST 3-4 times bigger in November than what you saw this time. I walked so much one time I didn't think I was gonna make it back to the parking area!

Scooters are like $70.00 per day and they will rent them to anybody as far as I can tell. They start looking pretty attractive by about lunch time. drive
