I need some new fender braces for my 66 stepside. I have looked in several catalog and websites for them. Do I just need to get some steel rods and make them?

No, do a search for old or antique trucks. It will cost you about 30 bucks a pop.

have your tried LMC, they have an online catalog. I've had good luck with them in the past.

Looking for the rear braces that support the fenders on the stepside. I checked LMC and Chevy Duty. I also looked in a catalog called obsolete parts ( or something like that, its in the bathroom and I'm too lazy to go look). While taking the old ones off, the threads were so rusted that one broke off and the other I cut. I can still use the peices to pattern by if I have to.
