So. Realizing I may jeopardize friendships I have kindled over the years I am asking if I could bring the green 60 F100 and park it next to farmdog for the weekend. Possibly alongside the Hoopty van too. I can plan an evening arrival, use a back road to enter. Never, ever join a road run etc.

As a rule I can only drive it up here between home and Home Depot, maybe to a gas station. I brought the subject up with Jim 53green1ton. He was lukewarm to the idea and instantly responded that I would of course need permission from Homecoming Planning department. I recognize such an endeavor equals planning the Olympics and you tomatoes may be busy. He warned me that left alone it may accidentally drop into neutral and find itself at the bottom of the lake. Or worse yet be the center of the bonfire.

President Cosmo, SAA Sweet, Mr. Milliman : What say you?

PS: Please don't close my Stovebolt account - I'm still hunting for a shortshaft pulley for the 261 in Parts Wanted. And remember - Ford is a four letter word just like beer.

Sir,

As it is not my place to make such decisions I'll defer to the President and SAA. As well, Marlow and Roach should weigh in as they are in charge of parking.

Should you elect to pursue this request, it is my duty to inform you, as a sworn officer of the ODSS Court representing the people of the ODSS as chief prosecutor, you might be brought up on charges should you following through with this activity. (to wit, I call to mind what happened last year to Grigg Jr. for bringing a boat to a truck event ... need I say more??) At the very least, you can certainly anticipate having your ODSS membership downgraded to "Probational."

Consider well your next words/actions.

R,
J. Crosby

John - It is clear someone had my password and username, and logged onto my computer remotely and made such a request.

As you know I cherish my ODSS membership and would take no action to knowingly jeopardize said membership.

I would however, eagerly await any input Mr. Roach, Billy, or SAA Sweet may have to offer.

Sadly - I don't have a boat to top last years snafu. That being said, reverse cam small block chevys were placed in many boats. Possibly the perpetrator was scoping out a candidate block ?

Brother from the North

First I admire having the stones to make such a request in public forum. As Chief Council has mentioned the parking of such, well I'll be nice and call it Vintage Iron (scrap), shall fall upon those chosen. I may suggest two spaces, one close to the blue tip wrench, or the pond.

I will however utilize my given authority to hearby permit such a request under the following conditions:

1. This VIS shall arrive with the following contents in its bed, a 261 in yellow with all of its required parts either assembled or not, ready to fire.

2. The owner, shall weather permitting, spend one evening in the bed of such VIS with the keys in my sole possession.

3. Said VIS shall in no way disrupt the transport of contents in Dry Storage.

Got any more request Joe?

Probation is harsh and as you know, I have not had a Stovebolt at the reunion yet.
Still on probation.
First time was I attended, driving a Ferd, pulling a trailer with a Dodge on it.
If you can survive the punishment, you actually win some respect.
What's that phrase, "those who have never sinned, may cast the first stone".

Looks like this year I may have a GM product at the Homecoming.
It's still up in the air.

Mike - you have a point there. I will of course wait to hear from Billy. He is a voice of reason, and I believe may also own a vehicle of the opposite side.

Mr Marlow also owns several non GM vehicles. I'll abstain from any other opinion on this matter.

The only saving grace is that Mr. Milliman left me an opening by communicating "I might" (emphasis on might) be brought up charges. It is still unclear to me whether my status would be downgraded to Probationary. Therein lies what keeps me up at night.

My opinion was not asked for but i will add it anyway. Have we not kept up with our changing society. It is acceptable, more so, it is deemed exclusive if we are to in any way treat our differences with objection or descrimination. So i say bring it and park it proud. Just so long as all those cheese steaks are easily accessable to the masses.

Brother Hambone - your words ring loudly. While I dare to put my toe in the water on this excursion from the norm I eagerly await more dialogue on the subject.

I dare not to park in a prominent location for fear of a certain individual from the Commonwealth of Virginia may envy another "green machine".

His envy may result in a drunken pond plunge, or, worse yet an introduction to the red wrench. Upon arrival I would ask that Mr. Milliman safely secure all gas bottles and hoses under cover so the certain individual makes no attempt to dismantle said vehicle.

Far be it for me to besmirch your good name for wanting to bring a Ford to the party. I say bring it. If there were penalties for owning none GM vehicles then I would still be probationary as well (then again, maybe I am!). Love my Chevrolet and my GMC but we have Ford and Dodge covered as well.
Heck, a cooler full of ice cold PBR and me and Mikey will find a nice secure parking space for you. We will even do our best to protect it from the gas axes and/or the murky depths of the Crosby Lake!
I think Sweet is right, if you showed up with the yellow 261 in the back, you'd be the hit!

What EVER. I'm still convening a grand jury to explore possible indictments. And I may consider others for investigation, as well.

Trivial investigations, wasting valuable wrenching time.
Diversity is the way to go now.

Mr. Milliman, the gentleman from Missouri just referred to your grand jury indictments of those egregious actions as "trivial".
Now he's preaching "diversity". Next thing you know he's going to arrive to HC driving a Prius... just sayin.

I am warming up to this idea. Sadly - the yellow 261 is in the frame of the 1-ton dually attached to a transmission and driveshaft. A cooler full of cold beverages is in order.

As to the court - I stand to plead a case of transparency. My primary allegiance lies with products of the General Motors Comapany. The Dearborn experiment affords me the opportunity to drive somewhat inferior iron and anticipating greater reward when the GMC iron takes its place. I may elect counsel upon my arrival from candidates in attendance to represent my interests. Sobriety (at least temporary) will rule above all.

I don't know if it matters or not, but the RSGAB, is still gathered.....waiting for a quorum.. wink

* UNLESS ... a meeting of the Rules Supreme Governing Authority Board of the ODSS meets and it's decisions are ratified by the ODSS President. Last I checked, that board was Grigg Jr., NAPCO Man, VEW and one vacancy (no proxies). And all had to be present to constitute a quorum (even the vacancy ...). So good luck with that ... smile John

No one said it better than Barney Fife, "Andy, you've got to nip it in the bud!" "Nip it!"
Amtrakjoe, if you have no other means of transportation, I strongly urge that you bring mass quantities of inebriating fluids to grease the rails. You can't expect to stop this train of malcontent. Better to grease the rails so as to prevent it from stopping until it reaches the next station down the line, so to speak.
