It's been suggested by Achipmunk that i try on this forum to get an idea what year my Heavy Duty 2 ton might be. I'm guessing a '46. It's a RHD with an engine number DEB 348784. I can't find a chassis plate anywhere on the vehicle. I would also like an idea where it might have been assembled. The truck is in Zimbabwe could it have been assembled in South Africa? Also did all these trucks have vacuum wipers? Any info would be gratefully received. Thanks! Vacuum wipers are to be expected. Looks like a solid truck! Hopefully someone else can help with the rest of your questions.

Could that DEB be DEA?
DEA was model designator for 1946 6xxx series engines.

The original engine would have been a 235.

Here are locations of engine codes.
Find and post all the codes and members should be able to help ID the engine.

As pvfjr posted, it would have had vacuum wipers.

Some of this info might be incorrect for an export (or foreign-assembled) RHD truck.

Wow, Africa. I been all over the world, literally - and if I had to compose a list of places I'd rather be I think any place in Africa would be last on the list...even after Mongolia. lol
