i seem to have considerable rust where my windshield hinges mount. it looks pretty nasty.being new to this it really bums me out. what can i do to fix this? also one pillar has a rust hole.


Just because you have a few Craftsman tools, it dosen't mean your a craftsman.

Jeff,
Luckily my '40 only had rust on the center bar of the windshield - had to buy a new frame for it. I would be happy to send you detail photos of these areas if it helps in repairs

thanks bruce, i'm just starting this project and photos may be helpful in the near future. if i need them i will contact you. i just took the windshield out and the frame looks pretty good but the hinges are shot. i will try to rebuild them as i have more time than money.
